Vibration, rapid temperature changes and prolonged operation at the temperature limits cause temperature sensor degradation in the long run, affecting measurement stability and process safety. If humidity enters the mineral isolated measuring insert, the isolation resistance decreases, leading to a failed temperature measurement. This in turn can trigger an increase in process temperature with dangerous side-effects.
